A Renegades Guide to Making Money

Empowering Food Entrepreneurs to Achieve Financial Freedom

A RENEGADES GUIDE TO MAKING MONEY

What’s up you beautiful peep? Molly here, from good ‘ol Wylder Space (our sweet catering co. in the Santa Cruz Mountains).

I've been thinking about the unique challenges we face as chefs and entrepreneurs. It’s not easy and the times are changing rapidly. It can feel daunting trying to keep up with social media, networking AND creating a superior product with service that sparkles.

Clearly, running a restaurant & catering co. isn’t just about cooking (I mean yeah, you’ve got to know how to cook, but that’s the easy part!). The HARD part is mastering the “art” of business…..

Embracing the Entrepreneurial Spirit with Wylder Space

At Wylder Space, we believe in the power of the Entrepreneurial Spirit—the creative drive to innovate and pursue your passions with unbridled abandon.

Food has always been our medium for connection. It’s how we build community and foster inspiration in the kitchen.

For the past 6 months, we’ve been sharing a behind the curtain glimpse into how we run this co. (Believe it or not, behind every business and brand that you love, there’s a person- creating, dreaming & experimenting.)

You may be asking yourself, “What does this have to do with catering, Molly?” Oh, you know - EVERYTHING.

This is a moment in history when we are being called to action. It’s time to take your life by the horns and share your gift with the world.

That’s why we're thrilled to invite you to be a part of our new & dynamic online community, The Entrepreneurial Spirit.

Join our community (a network of like-minded entrepreneurs who are pushing boundaries and designing their own lives). Gain access to exclusive resources, online events, workshops, courses, & community mentorship to take your business to the next level.

So…. with that being said - today, I’m sharing 3 SURPRISING facts about our industry that could make a huge impact in your business AND I want to share with you what Wylder’s doing to diversify:

  • The Hidden Costs of Perfectionism: It’s admirable to hone and perfect your craft- but at what point does perfectionism hold you back from growth? And at what point does it lead to burnout and stress? My advice to you: learn to delegate and trust your team.

  • The Power of Diversification: How many of you rely solely on your restaurant's dining revenue? Would you venture to say that may be risky? My advice to you: Diversify your income streams—through catering, cooking classes, affiliate marketing, a product line, writing cookbooks or even by purchasing the building you cook out of—the goal is NOT put all your eggs in one basket. Just like you wouldn’t want to have all your business wrapped up in one venue, or 1 customer, you don’t want all your revenue wrapped up in 1 income stream.

  • The Impact of Digital Presence: In the digital age, an online presence is a necessity. Utilize social media, maintain a modern website, and encourage online reviews. Enhance your visibility and attract more customers. My advice to you: As much as you may despise it- leverage technology. It’ll help in marketing & also streamline your operations. Automate. Automate. Automate.

Join our online community & connect with people who have found a way to THRIVE in this wild world we live in today.

I want to share a bit about our journey & offer resources that have helped us, in hope they’ll help you:
